Frequently Asked Questions about the Code
The Code states that where available, Industry Endorsed Standard Procedures should be used for assessing grapes. These procedures are contained within the Industry Guidelines for winegrape assessment:
- Industry endorsed standard procedures for measuring grape colour
- Industry endorsed standard procedures for measuring Brix

The Code states that all Agreements must be in writing. Signatories, who reach verbal or “handshake” agreements, must make a written record and seek confirmation from the Grower as soon as practicable. To make this process as simple and easy as possible, download a template to complete and provide a Grower containing the key terms:
- Template for recording Verbal Agreements and Spot Contracts
- Template to incorporate the Code into Agreements
